  • Onions2
  • Mushrooms (Dried)200 grams
  • Oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Marjoram
  • Flour2 cups
  • Pack of Fresh Yeast
  • Sour Cream
  • Melted Butter1 tablespoon
  • Egg Yolk1
  • Milk

Prepare the lentils:

  1. 1

Place 1 jar of lentils in a bowl, cover with water, and let them soak overnight.

Prepare the filling:

  1. 2

    Dice 2 onions and 200 g mushrooms.

  2. 3

Heat a little oil in a pan.

  3. 4

Lightly sauté the diced onions until they are translucent.

  4. 5

Add the mushrooms and cook until softened.

  5. 6

Drain the soaked lentils and add them to the onion-mushroom mixture.

  6. 7

Season with salt, pepper, and marjoram.

  7. 8

Mix well, then set aside and let cool.

Prepare the dough:

  1. 9

    Preheat the oven to 180°C.

  2. 10

Put 2 glasses of flour in a bowl.

  3. 11

In a small bowl, mix 0.5 package of fresh yeast well with 0.5 glass of sour cream.

  4. 12

Add the sour cream-yeast mixture to the flour.

  5. 13

    Add a pinch of salt.

  6. 14

Knead everything well until a smooth, pliable dough forms.

  7. 15

Divide the dough into 3 equal-sized balls.

  8. 16

Cover with a cloth and let rest for about 15 min, until the dough has risen slightly.

    Timer15 min

Process the dough further:

  1. 17

Briefly knead each dough ball again.

  2. 18

Then, roll each ball out into a round circle, about 3 mm thick.

  3. 19

Divide each circle into eight equal-sized triangles (like a pie).

Fill and shape:

  1. 20

Place the cooled lentil-mushroom mixture in the center of the wide end of each triangle.

  2. 21

Roll up from the wide side towards the point – this will create small rolls.

Let rise:

  1. 22

Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.

  2. 23

    Cover with a damp cloth.

  3. 24

Let rise in a warm place for about 15 min.

    Timer15 min

Brush and bake:

  1. 25

Whisk 1 egg yolk with 1 tbsp milk.

  2. 26

Brush the rolls evenly with the mixture.

  3. 27

Bake in the preheated oven at 180°C for about 15 min, until they are golden brown.
