Preheat the oven and shape the tortillas

    Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F) with top and bottom heat without a fan.

    Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Stack all 6 tortillas on top of each other.

    Trim the rounded edges off the tortillas to create equal, even squares.

Prepare the vegetables

    Place the prepared vegetables in a food processor and finely chop them.

Mix the minced meat

    Add the drained vegetables, 2 tbsp tomato paste, 1 tbsp garlic powder, 1 tbsp onion powder, 1 tbsp paprika, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp cumin, 0.5 tsp black pepper, and 0.5 tsp turmeric.

    Knead the meat well with your hands until all seasonings and vegetables are evenly distributed.

Assemble and slice the skewers

    Place the first tortilla square on a cutting board and spread a thin, even layer of seasoned meat on top.

    Cover with a second tortilla, spread another layer of meat, and repeat the process until all the square tortillas and meat are used up, finishing with a layer of meat on top.

    Slice the stacked layers lengthwise into 5 equal strips.

Bake the skewers
